Assistant Project Manager (Pompano Beach, FL)
Craft Construction in Pompano Beach, FL is currently seeking experienced and entry level Assistant Project Managers to assist in the planning, organizing and management of construction projects during budget, construction, and closeout of various projects in different locations throughout the Florida. Salary commensurate with experience and great benefits included.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning
- Become familiar with all building codes & local ordinances
- Responsible for setting up all project control logs for submittals, RFI’s, shop drawings, document logs in Procore
- Participate in the development of the project schedule
- Lead jobsite setup effort including obtaining permits and setting up jobsite trailer and fencing with applicable FDOL & OSHA signage
- Assist project manager and estimating team in soliciting subcontractor bids and drafting scopes of work in preparation for subcontract issuance
Organizing & Document Control
- Drafting purchase orders and letters of intent and collecting insurance and liability documentation in preparation for subcontract award
- Assist in creating lookahead schedules alongside Project Manager and Superintendent
- Maintain ALL project documentation including managing appropriate timelines for submission and following up as necessary to maintain the project schedule and objectives. Documentation is including but not limited to:

- Drawings, sketches, revisions, drawing logs
- RFIs and submittals
- Permits and inspection logs
- Meeting agendas and minutes
- Assist in the documentation of the weekly project progress report to the owners and architect.
- Assist Project Manager with the administrative aspects of Owner Change Orders, Subcontract Change Order and ensure the proper Craft documentation for these items is completed and approved by management
- Procure all closeout and warranty documents and materials
Field Management
- See that proper safety measures in accordance with Federal and State laws, local ordinances and good industry practices are observed on the project by all persons and companies onsite
- Review work in place for compliance with contract documents and Craft quality standards
- Lead the creation of punch lists and assist in management of completion of punch items
- Cultivate good working relationship with the Owner and Owner’s representatives as design professionals
Leadership & Intangibles
- Represent to all persons a high level of integrity, pride, enthusiasm, and competence that encourages the highest level of performance and morale
- Conduct oneself in such a manner as will reflect credit upon the Company and encourage others to do likewise
EXPERIENCE:
- Project management: 1 year (Preferred).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited construction related curriculum (i.e., BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) preferred OR experience equivalent to a 4-year degree including training and working knowledge of quality principles.
- A strong working knowledge of construction means and methods of high-end new construction and renovation work.
- Proficiency with software used in the construction industry utilized for accounting, scheduling, project management and correspondence.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
- Reliable means of transportation to jobsites.

Schedule: Business hours Monday through Friday or as required by the demands of the project.
