Project Details
This unique project required a unique approach and dedicated team with a mission to succeed. This 1.45-acre property located at 1101 N.W. 57 Ave. in Miami’s Blue Lagoon, was long vacant leaving a shell standing for 10 years. Baywood Hotels purchased the property and identified it for a unique dual-branded hotel – Home2 Suites and Tru, both by Hilton. Home2 Suites is a more long-term stay oriented brand, while Tru is geared toward tourists with shared lobby spaces.
Baywood used the already-built shell, which means construction presented some challenges and teamwork. This now-stunning project offers great views of the airport and Blue Lagoon. The breakfast and leisure area of the hotel are open to guests of both brands and it located with the fitness area on the tenth floor to take advantage of the terrific views and maximize space.
Craft Construction worked with the owner and architect to identify ways to best use the existing shell and deliver the project on time to the busy South Florida market. Craft also built outdoor amenities areas, a walking area and 4-story stand-alone garage to serve the hotel guests and staff.
